This Privacy Policy describes how Impex Trading(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Impex Trading at https://impextrading.caand related services (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). We also store your subscription plan, account role, and billing identifiers when you subscribe through Stripe.
Portfolio and settings data
If you use portfolio or calculator features, we store the information you enter — such as holdings, position details, portfolio amounts, fee assumptions, and workspace names. This data is used to power simulations and tracking inside your account.
Preferences
We store settings you choose in your profile, including display preferences (such as color scheme), email visibility in the sidebar, product-update opt-in, and whether you allow anonymous usage analytics.
Usage and technical data
We automatically collect basic technical information when you use the Service, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and timestamps. If you enable anonymous usage analytics in your settings, we may collect aggregated interaction data to improve the product.
Payment information
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status, customer IDs, and related billing metadata from Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Process subscriptions and manage billing through Stripe
- Display market quotes, charts, and educational content
- Remember your preferences and portfolio data
- Send product updates if you opt in
- Respond to support requests
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Improve and develop features (including optional analytics)
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run the Service, such as payment processing (Stripe), hosting infrastructure, and market-data providers (for example, Finnhub for quotes and charts)
- Professional advisors where reasonably necessary (for example, lawyers or accountants)
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy
Screener and market content may be derived from third-party data sources. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. Session cookies are essential for authentication. We may also store theme preferences (light/dark mode) in your browser's local storage to prevent flicker on page load.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using signed-in features.
5. Data retention
We retain account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain records after account closure where required for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Export your data in a portable format, where applicable

7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
